Corporate Event of the Year
This award is open to all individuals involved in the creation and implementation of an event for a corporate client or company. The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of the client or an in-house event planner working within the company.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
Charity Event of the Year
This award is open to all individuals involved in the creation and implementation of an event for a Registered Charity, or where money raised from the event is donated to a Registered Charity. The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of the Registered Charity or an in-house event planner working within a Registered Charity.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
Awards Night Event of the Year
This award is open to all individuals involved in the creation and implementation of an awards night. The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of a client or an in-house event planner working within a company.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the awards event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
Event Caterer of the Year
This award is open to caterers/catering companies who have been hired to provide the food at an event. The caterer/catering company can be a preferred supplier at a venue or an organisation brought in specifically for the event. Events can be within venues or at off-site venues created primarily for the event being featured.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the quality of the cuisine with specific attention paid to how the food and beverages assisted in the success of the event.
Event Venue of the Year
This award is open to venue operators within Australia who host events.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the professionalism of the venue and the venue’s assistance in delivering exceptional events in terms of location, space, cuisine and audio visual.
The applicant must give two examples of events held at the venue, outlining reasons for their success and how the venue assisted in their success.
Launch Event of the Year
This award is open to individuals involved in the creation and implementation of a launch event for a client or company of a new product, initiative or special announcement. The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of the client or an in-house event planner working within the company.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
Event Entertainer of the Year
This award is open to individuals who work as entertainers – in any capacity - at events.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the value entertainment - and entertainers - play in the success of an event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and what part they played in the event’s success.
Applicants should submit two examples of events they worked on throughout the year to demonstrate their expertise.
Event Production of the Year
This award is open to individuals who work on the production of events – anything from staging, lighting, audiovisual, technical and styling.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the value the production elements of an event play in the success of an event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event.
The applicant must outline what those objectives were and what part they played in the event’s success.
Festival Event of the Year
This award is open to all individuals involved in the creation and implementation of a festival-style event. The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of a client or an in-house event planner working within a company, council or government department.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the festival in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event.
The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
Sporting Event of the Year
This award is open to all individuals involved in the creation and implementation of a sporting event, or an event as part of a sporting event (such as pre-event entertainment, etcetera). The individual can be an external event planner working on behalf of a client or an in-house event planner working within the company or body responsible for the event.
The main objective of this category is to recognise the success of the event in terms of meeting objectives set prior to the event. The applicant must outline what those objectives were and how they have been measured post-event.
